· New features: the “The Global Outlook 2026” international conference and the Precious Fashion area
Arezzo (Italy), 9 May - The 45th edition of Oroarezzo, the international B2B event organized by IEG – Italian Exhibition Group and reference point for the very best of Made in Italy gold, silver and jewelry manufacturing, opened today and will be ongoing until May 12 at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi. The main theme of the opening ceremony was market transformations and support for businesses in driving change through knowledge-based tools and networking.
The opening ceremony featured remarks from Maurizio Ermeti, president of Italian Exhibition Group; Alessandro Ghinelli, mayor of Arezzo; Alessandro Polcri, president of the Province of Arezzo; Massimo Guasconi, president of the Arezzo-Siena Chamber of Commerce; and Ferrer Vannetti, president of Arezzo Fiere e Congressi. This was followed by a roundtable discussion with Maria Cristina Squarcialupi, president of Confindustria Federorafi; Maurizio Forte, central director for export sectors at the Italian Trade Agency; Leonardo Marras, councilor for the economy, production activities, credit policies and tourism for the Region of Tuscany; and Senator Maurizio Gasparri, chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
During the opening ceremony, “The Global Outlook 2026 – Global Jewelry Markets and Practical Tools for Business Growth,” Oroarezzo’s first international conference, organized by IEG in collaboration with Confindustria Federorafi, AFEMO, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the Italian Trade Agency, was announced. The event is scheduled for Monday, May 11.
At the show, 350 exhibitors — 84% Italian and 16% international — and over 350 international buyers hosted through the partnership with the Italian Trade Agency, alongside more than 100 Italian buyers. The international buyers come 59 countries with the largest numbers from the United States, followed by Romania, Hong Kong, Poland, Mexico, Argentina and Morocco, confirming a broad and diverse participation.
In this setting, the exhibition offer highlights the complete wealth of the industry, with the addition this year of Precious Fashion, the new exhibition area specifically for fashion jewelry and accessory components.
The opening day continued in the afternoon (3 pm – Events Area) with the conference entitled “Geopolitical tensions, conflicts and tariffs: reactions from the Italian gold industry”, organized by Club degli Orafi and Intesa Sanpaolo. Tomorrow morning, Sunday, May 10 (10 am – Events Area), the event “Retail Talk: Jewelry stores in evolution: models, market and perspectives. Focus on Tuscany,” organized by Federpreziosi Confcommercio, will take place. The seminar “Reaching the world: digital marketing for jewelry in the era of new markets,” organized by Club degli Orafi, will follow (12.15 pm – Events Area). In the afternoon (starting at 5.30 pm – in the center of the Chimera Hall), the awards ceremony for the historic Première contest, now at its 35th edition, is scheduled to take place.
