Premiere Contest
THE CONTEST
The PREMIERE contest is Oroarezzo’s historic event that annually celebrates the finest Italian goldsmith craftsmanship. It showcases original creations developed by participating companies around a shared theme, always new and different, blending tradition and contemporaneity. The event is curated by Beppe Angiolini, Art Director of Oroarezzo and President of the Jury. It is a tribute to the goldsmith production excellence represented at the fair.
The Jury, composed of professionals and experts from the jewelry, fashion, press, and communication sectors, awards the best pieces during the ceremony. These winning jewels are then exhibited at Oroarezzo in a dedicated setting that highlights their unique features and creative value.
TALENTS
The 34th edition of the contest also puts the spotlight on the next generation of goldsmiths thanks to the TALENTS category, introduced in 2023 and reserved for young students from Italian goldsmith schools and designers under 30.
The winner will be given the opportunity to create his own jewel, free of charge, thanks to the collaboration of partner companies of the territory.
With the TALENTS category, OROAREZZO wishes to support the expression and creativity of young talents, promoting direct contact with the world of jewelery production and the opportunities the sector can offer to young people who intend to undertake a career path in the sector goldsmith-jeweler.
CONCEPT 2026: THE INVISIBLE WEIGHT OF SWEETNESS
There is a lightness that cannot be measured in grams, but in emotions. A lightness that is not absence, but a gentle presence. It is the feeling of something that accompanies us without weighing us down, that exists without imposing itself, that lives on the body like a whisper rather than a burden. This concept begins here… from the idea that jewellery is not an object to be worn, but a sensation to inhabit. Lightness becomes a language. It is the freedom to move without constraint, to exist without rigidity. A lightweight jewel does not interrupt a gesture or restrict the body; it follows it, listens to it, accompanies it. It is designed to become part of natural movement, to live in harmony with the one who wears it.
Wearability then becomes an intimate act. It is not only about comfort, but about relationship. The jewel must belong to the body as if it had always been there, as if it were born with it. It must adapt, transform, and enter into dialogue with the skin. Its form, structure, and material are conceived to embrace the body rather than dominate it. It is an object that does not impose itself, but offers itself.
Sweetness lies at the heart of everything. Not a fragile sweetness, but one that is deep and resilient. It is the softness of forms that do not interrupt, that do not invade.
Sweetness is also emotional… it is the bond that forms between the object and the wearer. This jewel is created to be lived, not merely observed. It does not seek attention through weight or excess, but through its ability to exist in balance. It is an invitation to simplicity, awareness, and presence. A quiet reminder that beauty lies not in quantity, but in the quality of experience.
In a world that often feels heavy, this jewel does not add weight: it restores breath. It is the invisible weight of sweetness.
