PREMIERE 2018: the bracelet steals the show
The contest that awards new ideas and seasonal trends, a highlight at ORORAREZZO, will focus on the female world's most loved jewellery item among classic materials and the Rebirth of iron.
The Italian jewellery Show organized by IEG - Italian Exhibition Group, has outlined the focus of the contest that spotlights new ideas, design and seasonal fashion trends, one of the much-awaited events of the 4-day Show.
The bracelet is undoubtedly the female world's most-loved jewellery item and is the piece that companies have been called upon to measure themselves against in a challenge to represent "love" through the preciousness and beauty of its shapes and materials. The title of the 2018 edition of the contest is, in fact, “The power of Love” and will see a blossoming of slave bracelets, bands, chains, double or triple elements to cover the arm in a great variety of trends. The competitors have been asked to present an item that interprets the new trend of so-called "fashion anarchy".
Among metals, avant-garde materials and chromatic contrasts, particular importance will be given to iron, a metal that has always played a leading role in jewellery. An emblem of strength, iron becomes refined and current when combined with gold. The contest will therefore award new jewellery items that know how to interpret the hardness and simplicity of iron with the nobility and elegance of gold to match the personality of the person wearing it.
The jury assessing the creations will be presided over by Beppe Angiolini, Art Director of OROAREZZO and Honorary President of the National Chamber of Fashion Buyers, accompanied by experts from the fashion, jewellery, press and communication sectors. The items selected will be on display for the duration of the Show in a custom-made installation located in the central corridor of the Exhibition Centre for all visitors to admire. The prize-giving ceremony will be held on Sunday, 6th May at 6 pm in Green Space.
