Eyes on the coming edition of the Show featuring events, technology, creativity and top manufacturing
The international showcase of the best Made in Italy jewellery offer, Oroarezzo, will be back from 18th to 21st April. Now at its 41st edition, the show will feature 500 brands and just as many international buyers, acting as a reference point for the world of quality jewellery production, design excellence and manufacturing elegance.
In the Arezzo Fiere e Congressi halls, top companies from the sector will be presenting their technical know-how and capacity for innovation, typical of Italian jewellery firms, as well as added values expressed by the entrepreneurial qualities of all the peninsula’s gold districts taking part in the show. From Arezzo with 50% of exhibitors to Vicenza (30% approx.) but also Torre del Greco, Florence and Milan.
The four days of Oroarezzo 2020 will provide important business matching opportunities between the over 500 exhibiting brands and buyers from more than 90 countries, with an increase in foreign traders compared to the last few editions.
Important aspects are partnerships with MAECI – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – and ICE – Agency for the promotion and internationalization of Italian companies abroad – as well as three exhibition areas featuring the values that have made the Italian jewellery industry a global business, in other words creativity, innovation and technology, represented by the hashtag #artofmanufacturing.
Moreover, the centrepiece of the Show will be the area specifically for semi-processed goods, clasps and mountings for artisan workshops and manufacturing companies. The Cash&Carry area will allow both Italian and foreign companies to sell their own creations in a dynamic space aimed specifically at national and international retailers, whose buyer will be able to select and purchase a wide variety of products to replenish their seasonal stocks.
In a country like Italy, which is also one of the world’s top producers of machinery and technology for processing jewellery, Oroarezzo Tech, thanks to the partnership with AFEMO (Italian Association of Jewellery Machinery Manufacturers and Exporters), will provide an important showcase in which to discover the innovative products of 70 of the sector’s leading companies.
Lastly, Oroarezzo will also be a strategic platform for developing our jewellery companies’ competitiveness on the international scene: the proposals programmed include a focus on production process quality control and the best practices linked to supply chain auditing. The theme of innovation will be explored by the Start Up & Carats project, launched at Vicenzaoro January, which will activate synergies between industry and the most dynamic start-ups.
And also making a reappearance is the Premiere Competition, a contest that, for over 30 years, has been spotlighting the technical skills, drive for innovation and quality of Made in Italy jewellery production, involving exhibitors by inviting them to interpret a theme to be assessed by a select jury.
OA 2020 will be staged for the 41st time in the city of Arezzo, among the nominations for Capital of Culture 2021, where fascinating cultural tours and entertainment will be offered to enrich the Show experience and provide networking opportunities in an Off-Show brimming with events.
