Cameo Italiano is a brand born from the experience of Luca's family, which for 3 generations has been producing the most beautiful hand-engraved cameos on the shell, according to the most ancient Italian tradition.
It was 1957 when Michele di Luca, thanks to the ability of the most talented master engravers, realized his dream of bringing the uniqueness of shell-shaped cameos to the international scene, conquering the foreign market in a few years
A story of passion and respect for traditions: since then it has been and continues to be a succession of successes, awards, even from the Chamber of Commerce of Naples, as well as a gold medal for Michele di Luca “for having contributed to the economic development of the region."
His love for the cameo also affects his sons Gino, Anna, Pina and Marinella, who in 1980 change their lives by joining the company offering their different skills and enthusiasm. Furthermore, Gino deserves the credit for having launched in 2012 a brand that transformed the cameo into a modern, indeed timeless, jewel: Cameo Italiano, emblem of an Italian craftsmanship that knows no boundaries.
Today, 35 Torre del Greco artists work exclusively for the brand, have been able to reinvent jewelry design with cameos, dissolving the boundaries between classic jewelry and current fashion.
