Doors open to Italian companies in the gold sector tomorrow, December 4, for the fifth edition of the Italian Jewellery Summit in the heart of the Arezzo district. Italian Exhibition Group and stakeholders from the Arezzo district invite the Oroarezzo community to Arezzo Fiere e Congressi, starting at 5:30 p.m., for a talk dedicated to “Geopolitics, gold, and the future: how to defend, innovate, and preserve tradition.” Guests include Federico Fubini, deputy editor-in-chief of Corriere della Sera, Fabrizio Bernini, president of Zucchetti Centro Sistemi, Denise Vangelisti, vice president of Freschi & Vangelisti, and Massimo Poliero, president and CEO of Legor Group and president of AFEMO. The event will be hosted by Laura Biason, general manager of Club degli Orafi Italia.
Geopolitics is redefining the role of gold, influencing supplies, regulations, and the dynamics of international markets. At the heart of the event is the need to combine the protection of manufacturing tradition with technological innovation, from automation to digital traceability, to new materials and sustainable processes. A useful discussion for the goldsmith community on the crucial issues of competitiveness, supply chain security, and strategic decisions involving companies, associations, and institutions. The meeting will offer Arezzo-based companies tools to interpret complex global scenarios and transform them into development opportunities for the entire Italian goldsmith and jewellery sector.
The Summit will also feature the presentation of the jewellery piece that won the Talents category at the latest edition of Première, the historic design competition among Arezzo-based companies, which each year are inspired by a theme chosen by Beppe Angiolini, art director of Oroarezzo. The winner of the 2025 edition is Marianna Maddaluna, a student at the G. Giovagnoli Institute of Education in Sansepolcro.
After the speeches by the Summit guests and the presentation of the young designer's jewellery, there will be a networking aperitif. On the morning of Friday 5, the Auditorium will once again host the event organised by Smart Future Academy dedicated to guidance and matching between young people, companies and training institutions.
The Italian Jewellery Summit is an event organized by IEG in partnership with ICE Agenzia, with the patronage of the Tuscany Region, Arezzo Fiere e Congressi, the Chamber of Commerce Industry, Crafts and Agriculture of Arezzo - Siena and the Province of Arezzo, and the Municipality of Arezzo.
