Geopolitical tensions, conflicts, and tariffs: reactions from the Italian gold industry

Events area

2025 has presented the Italian jewelry sector with an unprecedented scenario: gold prices at historic highs, growing geopolitical tensions, and rapidly evolving trade policies have redrawn the coordinates of international markets, opening new opportunities while closing others within just a few months. The conference presents data from the joint Club degli Orafi Italia – Intesa Sanpaolo report on industry performance as of December 31, 2025, with an analysis that provides a structural interpretation of current dynamics: from the Turkey-effect on exports to commodity volatility, from growing geographical markets to the uncertainties weighing on strategic markets such as the United Arab Emirates.
Alongside the quantitative analysis, direct input from Industry companies will offer the perspective of those facing these challenges in the field every day.

Moderator:

Laura Biason, General Director of Club degli Orafi Italia

Stefania Trenti, Head of Industry and Local Economies Research, Research Department Intesa Sanpaolo
